Internal Medicine and Geriatrics ( Anti-Aging)

Dr. R. Maurice Bonilla is one of a limited number of physicians in the Tampa Bay area who is Board Certified in Geriatrics. In addition to his Weight Management practice, he also has many Internal Medicine patients whom he proudly serves.

The care of the elderly is an often ignored specialty in Medicine as it requires a great deal of patience and personal sacrifice on the part of the physician. Our elderly should be our most respected, admired and appreciated members of society and physicians must be trained to handle the complications and delicate human emotions which often accompany the aging process. Dr. Bonilla has practiced Geriatric Medicine for many years and has been honored and blessed to guide his patients through much of their adult lives. He has learned much from his aging patients and their accumulated wisdom has enriched his life in many ways.

Dr. Bonilla has routinely stressed preventative care, weight management and healthy living to his patients and anti-aging has alway been an integral part of his practice.

• Medicare (currently not accepting new patients without physician approval)

Dr. Bonilla is contracted with very few insurance plans. Patients are always free to see Dr. Bonilla “out of network” and our office will gladly file the insurance claim to help the patient get reimbursed for out of pocket expenses. Labwork is usually covered by insurance even if an out of network physician is utilized.
